1. About this notice
Vision Innovations, LLC (“we”) operates Text2Celeb. This notice explains how we collect, use, keep, and destroy the voice recordings you provide to create a custom voice in the Text2Celeb Android app, including our retention schedule and destruction guidelines. It supplements our Privacy Policy, which applies to everything else.
Some laws treat voice recordings as biometric data when they are used to recognize or identify a person. We do not use your recordings that way. This notice nonetheless sets out how long we keep them and how we destroy them, so you can rely on it whichever laws apply where you live.
2. What we collect
If you choose to create a custom voice, we collect the recording you make in the app of a short script that includes a consent statement; a processed copy of that recording, trimmed and adjusted in level, which we use as the reference for generating speech in your voice; the text of the script; and a record of your consent: the wording you agreed to, the version of this notice, when you agreed, and from which app version.
We collect them only after you agree, and the microphone is on only while you record on the custom voice screens. We do not create or store a voiceprint or any other template used to recognize or identify you. Our speech model uses your reference recording only while it generates a clip you asked for, and keeps nothing from it afterwards.
3. How we use it
Only to generate speech in your own voice, in clips you request in your account. We do not use your recordings to identify you, to verify who you are, or to compare your voice with anyone else’s. We do not use them to train AI models, for advertising, or for profiling.
4. Who can use it
Only you, signed in to the account that created the voice. A custom voice is never added to our catalog, never appears in search, and cannot be selected by anyone else. Authorized staff access the recordings only to investigate a report that a voice was made without consent, to respond to a valid legal request, or to fix a technical problem, and only as far as the task requires.
5. Disclosure
We do not sell, lease, trade, or otherwise profit from your recordings. We disclose them only to service providers that process them for us under contract: Google Cloud, which stores them, and, when you generate a clip, our inference providers Render and RunPod, for that generation only. We also disclose them when the law or valid legal process requires it.
6. Retention and destruction
We keep and destroy custom voice data on this schedule:
- The recording and its processed copy are kept while the voice exists. They are destroyed within 24 hours after you delete the voice or your account.
- A voice that has not been used to generate a clip for 12 months is deleted automatically, with an in-app notice 30 days before.
- A recording that did not become a voice, for example because the upload failed, is destroyed within 30 days.
- A record of your consent, without any audio, is kept for 3 years after the voice is deleted, so that we can show you agreed.
- If someone reports that a voice was made without consent, we suspend the voice and keep its data only until the report is resolved; then we delete or restore it.
- In every case, we destroy your recordings no later than 3 years after your last interaction with Text2Celeb.
- Clips you already generated with a custom voice stay in your library until you delete them or your account.
7. Your consent
Before you record, you confirm that you are 18 or older and that the voice is your own, and you agree to this notice by ticking the boxes in the app. The script you then read aloud includes a consent statement. You can withdraw your consent at any time by deleting the voice in You › My voices, or by deleting your account in the app or at text2celeb.com/account/delete. Withdrawing does not affect processing that took place before.
8. Age
Custom voices are available only to people aged 18 or older.
9. Security
Recordings are stored encrypted in Google Cloud in the United States, in storage that only our backend services can reach, and we protect them with at least the care we give our other confidential information. Deleted recordings are not kept in recovery copies.
